TSS Keeps EcoVadis Silver Medal Despite Tougher Standards in 2024

The EcoVadis Silver Medal for sustainability, awarded to TSS in 2024.
TSS, a leading provider of temperature-monitoring solutions for the life-science industry, proudly announces that it has retained the EcoVadis Silver Medal for the second consecutive year. This recognition is a testament to TSS’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, even as EcoVadis raised the bar for its assessment criteria in 2024.
PRESS RELEASE 2024-09-03

EcoVadis, a global leader in business sustainability ratings, evaluates companies based on 21 criteria across four key areas: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. This year, TSS once again achieved a Silver rating, placing it among the top tier of companies worldwide that are committed to sustainable practices.

TSS particularly excelled in environmental management, achieving notable progress in reducing energy consumption, managing greenhouse gas emissions, and minimizing waste. A key factor in this success is the company’s structured circular product process, which focuses on refurbishing reusable components and optimizing product logistics and production management. This approach contributes to reducing the company’s overall environmental footprint.

“We are very proud to keep our EcoVadis Silver Medal this year, especially with the tougher standards. This shows our ongoing commitment to doing business in a responsible and sustainable way. It’s not just about meeting requirements; it’s about making real improvements that benefit everyone—our customers, our team, and the environment,” said Lie Berglind, Chief Quality Officer at TSS.

TSS’s sustainability practices are deeply integrated into its operations, guided by international standards such as the UN Global Compact and ISO 26000. This holistic approach ensures that TSS not only meets but often exceeds industry standards in environmental stewardship, labor practices, ethical conduct, and sustainable procurement.

“Getting rated by EcoVadis each year helps us understand where we stand and where we can do better. It’s an important part of how we make sure we’re doing the right thing for the planet and for people. Keeping this Silver Medal proves that we’re on the right path, but it also pushes us to keep improving,” Berglind added.

TSS scored a 69/100, placing the company in the top 90th percentile globally. With over 130,000 companies evaluated globally, this achievement underscores TSS's dedication to maintaining and improving its sustainability efforts in a rapidly evolving landscape. By integrating sustainability into its core values, TSS is committed to creating a positive impact on the pharmaceutical supply chain and the broader community.
