Working Together to Make Clinical Trials Faster and Safer

TSS recently hosted the TSS User Forum 2025, bringing together leading experts from the life science industry to discuss how automation, data integrity, and collaboration can make temperature management in clinical trials faster, safer, and more reliable.

The theme of this year’s event, “All Roads Lead to the Patient,” reflected a shared goal across the industry: improving patient outcomes. The theme also connected closely to World Patient Safety Day 2025, emphasizing how every improvement in supply chain management helps ensure that patients receive safe medicines on time.

A Unique Forum for Open Collaboration

The TSS User Forum is a unique, invitation-only seminar where representatives from some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies and clinical trial sponsors meet to share experiences and ideas. In an open and transparent environment, participants discuss real challenges and work together to find practical solutions for the clinical supply chain. This collaboration helps the industry move forward faster and with greater confidence.

Improving Efficiency Through Automation

During the forum, some participants demonstrated how the TSS Clinical Module helps their organizations save time and improve reliability through automation. The solution not only replaces manual workflows but also enables faster decision-making and ensures that temperature deviations are managed automatically and accurately — reducing quarantine time and enabling faster release of safe medicines to patients.

The discussions also included topics such as predictive analytics with AI, wireless hardware, and seamless integrations. Integrating with data lakes, inventory systems, and RTSM platforms was highlighted as an important step toward full end-to-end automation in the clinical trial supply chain.

Continuing Collaboration Throughout the Year

Because of the strong interest and engagement from participants, TSS will continue the forum as a living collaboration platform during the coming year. The feedback and ideas shared will be used to develop new roadmap initiatives focusing on better user experience, smarter data visualization, and even more automation features.

Can You Rely on the Results from Your Clinical Trials?

The success of a clinical trial depends on the reliability of its data. Many investigational drugs are sensitive to temperature, and any temperature deviation can affect their quality and, in the worst case, patient safety. Automated and integrated temperature monitoring solutions help secure data quality, support compliance, and speed up the delivery of new medicines to patients.
